Paul Shamplina, Landlord Action co-founder and co-director,
appears in ITV’s new Tenants From Hell programme, on Wednesday
30th August 2006 at 9pm.
Paul is seen serving a notice on a tenant who owes more than £18,000 in
rent arrears; and he also gives general advice to despairing landlords.
Since filming Landlord Action has successfully evicted the tenant.

was followed by the BBC cameras, in the making War At the Door, which
ran every Thursday on BBC 1 from 26th May 2005, at 8.30pm, for eight weeks.
Landlord Action was featured in three programmes out of the series.
Episode 2
Thursday 2nd June
Paul is seen attending at a property in London, SW1 and Serving Notice
on the occupants. But the nightmare for the Landlord Shelia Keagan, is
that when she rented her flat, it was to a couple, who paid 6 months in
advance.
The tenants did the unthinkable and sub let the 2 bedroom
flats to 18 students, and moved in 18 bunk beds into the property. Neighbours
and the Freeholders made numerous complaints to the Landlord. After Paul
served the notice, he contacted the original tenants by phone and persuaded
the tenant to remove the sub tenants, seven days later Paul is seen attending
the property and meeting the tenant and changing the locks.
Episode 5
Thursday 23rd June 2005
In this episode, Paul attends an eviction on behalf of the landlord. The
tenant had already left by the time, the bailiffs and the locksmiths turned
up. The landlord Mr Ozbay was encouraged to issue possession proceedings
through Landlord Action, as the tenant wanted to be re-housed by the council,
which unfortunately is way to common. Thankfully the property was left
in a good condition.
Episode 8
Thursday 14th July
The last episode we appear in, we meet the client Mr Pervez, at court,
he is very anxious, he is owed several thousand pounds, and he knows the
tenants have been inviting other people to stay in his property, and knows
also that its condition is very poor. Once we obtain the possession order
Mr Pervez has to wait frustratingly for a bailiff eviction date from the
court. On the eviction all the parties attend, and Mr Pervez has the shock
of his life, when he walks into his property, which is his pension, it's
ruined.
